RAINBOW YOUTH NIAGARA WORKSHOPS
 
Rainbow Youth Niagara offers a flexible, sensitive and informative approach to presenting information and training about sexually and gender diverse youth and diversity in general. Our presentations are designed to adapt to the individual needs of the audience.
 
Presentations include but are not limited to:

Acceptance and Diversity   A general introduction to terms, addressing stereotypes, the impact of bullying, and becoming an Ally.   Students - any age.
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans-Identified & Questioning Youth: A Guide For Front Line Workers   An in depth look at issues facing sexually and gender diverse youth in the Niagara Region and the barriers they face in gaining services. An introduction to terms and concepts to make services and organizations safe and welcoming for sexually and gender diverse youth.   Front Line Workers, University or College Students
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans-Identified & Questioning Youth: A Guide For Teachers   A presentation examining the issues sexually and gender diverse youth face within the school system , the intricate needs of trans-identified youth and strategies to make schools a safe place for all youth.   Teachers, University or College Students.
How To Create A Safe Space   Using the Safer Schools manual created by Niagara Pride Support Services, this group workshop examines how to assess school and work environments, how to overcome resistance and how to create a safer space for sexually and gender diverse youth.   Any age.
Health Relationships   An analysis of relationships; both emotionally and physically. Also includes topics of abuse and prevention, sexually transmitted infections and safer sex   Students - grade 9+ and Adults
